2016: Electric Boogaloo
Rev up those airsoft guns, it looks like we are probably having a group heading out to Fulda this year below is some relevant information regarding the event:
Fulda Gap 2016
Date: October 7-9, 2016
Price: $70 (until October 1st, then price goes up to $85)
Team: Warsaw - 39th Guards - ACVT
Where to buy tickets: Click here (See how to fill out the form properly here)
Directions: https://goo.gl/maps/dMwxhKUC61v (about 2 and a half hour drive)
More information: http://www.fuldagapairsoft.com/warsaw-units.html
Last day to sign-up for a car pool: 10/4/16
Waivers and safety briefing:
CDWC requires that in addition to signing a waiver you also have to watch a safety video then complete a quiz to be able to play. Make sure you fill out the waiver ahead of time in addition to printing out your certificate, it'll save you a lot of time and frustration.
Safety video and quiz:
After watching the following video you will need to complete a quiz and then print out the certificate showing you passed.

Waiver:
Here is a link for the waiver: http://www.cdpaintball.com/uploads/3/4/6/9/34692576/2016_cdwc_waiver_and_rules.pdf
Things to consider:
I highly encourage everyone to sign up for this game (especially our new members) as it looks like they we will have a very strong command structure this time around. Additionally, please read through this entire post as it contains important information in regards to this event.
Car pooling:
We will have a car pool signup sheet "going around" in this thread. If you would like a ride please fill in your name where you see a [Empty Seat] spot and PM the person to give them a heads up.
Camping/Hotels:
A majority of us will be camping on the field in the designated camping areas. If you need to borrow some camping equipment (or stay in somebody's tent) keep an eye out for people offering spaces in their tent/equipment in this thread. Additionally you can also just post saying you need to borrow some camping gear/crash in a tent.
If camping is not quite your speed there are a few hotels located near the field. For more information about hotels in the area click here and scroll down to the section labeled "Local Accommodations".
What to pack:
This is a 2-3 day event as such you should pack accordingly this includes enough water to keep yourself hydrated for the entire time, remember you will be doing a lot of running around during a majority of that time. Its also highly suggested to bring enough food as well (pack some snacks to). In terms of cooking, unless you bring your own stove, you will more than likely be cooking over a fire pit. The nearest place for food is a Bojangles and a gas station and it is swarmed 24/7 during this event so don't count on being able to 'run out' and grab food. We will more than likely have some sort of group cook out one night please read through this thread for a discussion about this.
Have a question?:
Post in this thread, if no one responds/answers it then feel free to PM me directly.
Camo requirements:
Warsaw troops are required to wear a 'tan' based camo. If you do not have any tan based camo let us know, we should have some spares floating around somewhere.

Re: 2016: Electric Boogaloo
I shall be going.
As a side note: The field owners at Fulda do not require us to us biodegradable BBs. Feel free to buy some old school plastics BBs for this event.

Re: 2016: Electric Boogaloo
I'm interested in going, I just have to make sure I have the time and can afford to go. If I'm able to go, I would camp out with you guys and see if I could get a slot in the carpool. I also would have to buy more gear, since I don't have Multicam and my other pieces of kit could really use an upgrade.
