VTAC is hosting another weekly airsoft game!

If you haven't signed the club waiver of risk already, please bring a signed copy to the game, where an admin will accept it.

Only post if you plan to show.

We will be meeting directly at the field. If you need a ride, those can be arranged with our numerous drivers. Just post below that you need a ride. When you arrive at the field, please exit the road as quickly as possible with your gear. We do not want to attract public attention. Everyone must also park as far off the side of the road as possible. Park rangers do not like cars half parked on the road.

Dear any and all participants going. I have a hard time waking up after my week of school and work because I am lazy. Call, text, spam, yell, smack, berate, break down, or whatever you have to do to get me BACK OUT THERE!! Please. I beg for outside assistance.

I'm going to be there uber late to test some stuff for the Zombie op. I doubt I'll make any of the games, but anyone wanting to hang out and dick around afterwards is welcome to stay.

The corps, in it's infinate wisdom, saw fit to leave me out of the op order for this weekend. Lucky me! I'm there tomorrow.

events of the day in order and in short:

Kaleb picked me up, and we shipped off.

We noticed 2 cars, one black one red. then Evan's car came into view and we saw him walking down the street to the staging area. The red car was new to us both, we figured it was a new person.

We got geared quickly and went to the staging area, and noticed only Frosty and Evan. Frosty said he didn't see anyone in the area, so we made plans to call out when we spread out to the spawn points.

We picked teams by a draw of numbers and Evan and I wen't to the 1st berm and we noticed people in the distance. I called out to them and got a response. I put my gun down and ran to them (roughly at the second berm). I talked to them and they were doing research on salamanders. I looked at their map and their plans for movement, their location (they were slightly lost), and ownership of the car. I advised them of where we were and where to go on their way back to their cars. I told them once they reached the clearing to call out to us and to stay about 10 meters off the trail. They confirm understanding and thank me for looking for them.

We begin the game and continue on for about 30~45 minutes, when I get hit me and Evan see the researchers on their way down the trail. I wait for them to get close to the area and call for a cease-fire. They suddenly remember and call out to us, and we wait for them to pass through. Once they get out of our planned area we resume the game.

...the day goes by and we wrap up our hill game and Kyle comes by, and I yell at him to get his goggles on because we were still playing.

We decide to play fox in a chicken coop, and decide with Rock Paper Scissors to choose the Assassin...Kaleb is the odd man out. He briefs us on our positions and we part ways. 2 minute set up time was alotted and Evan (VIP) forms us up and we travel along the creek. As we round the corner of the hill Evan gets hit by Kaleb and it's game over. Kaleb walks over to us and we start talking and relaxing.

I'm not too sure what I was looking at but when I look down Frosty had his hands in the air, I look at Kaleb and his are too. I look just behind them and I see a hand with a pistol, and a radio. So I instinctively follow suit putting my gear down slowly and raising my hands.

He tells us we shouldn't be here and we should leave (I couldn't hear too much of the conversation Kaleb can elaborate those parts). So we pack up and make small talk with the (I guess Park Ranger?). From the small parts I heard, there have been "irresponsible" people with Airsoft and Paintball guns and they're thinking of shutting down the Paintball field close by.

On the walk back we noticed there were a good number (I noticed roughly 10) of cars going by the road, and also on the highway there was a funeral procession.

In summation, rangers forced you all to leave and we are not allowed back and now must go back to the forest service road on the left hand side and find a secluded area.
