What are your summer airsoft projects?
So...I see there's a section for "Projects", but that seems very individually based, while this topic is a bit more vague.
Over the summer, what projects can we see coming off y'alls workbenches?
For me, funding permitted, the 3 projects I have in mind that aren't that close to being done are:
-AAC Honey Badger imitation (Silent CQB weapon, DSG build)
-LRB L96 (sort of close to done, need some odds and ends parts along with R-hopped Madbull and the LRB itself...)
-HK11E (born from the cursed G3, needs metal rails and maybe a MSG90 stock, as well as an LMG optic)
What've you all got?

Re: What are your summer airsoft projects?
Tweaking my WE M14 to perfection.
Currently it's shooting 450-460 w/ .2 out of a 440mm barrel. (Was expecting lower)
Shakes every screw loose, so I'm probably going to Loc-Tite the thing.
Perhaps build an AK. I bought a $20 box of AK parts 2 years ago and I never got around to properly assembling it. Motor is missing a pinion gear and the wiring is a pain.
EDIT: AK is done.

I'm going to disassemble my M14 for the first time in at least 6 months and do some preventative maintenance as well as tweak some things inside the gearbox. May add an r-hopped barrel from clandestine. Also, I'm going to finally decide weather to sell my East German AK (the MPiK-72m) and east german kit, pending on if I can make or find replacement parts for it.

Re: What are your summer airsoft projects?
Finally decided to post my summer projects.
Repair my old G36 - Needs new trigger, metal bushings, selector gear.
Tune/tweak my CA M4 - New Piston O-ring, fix compression, R-hop.
Rebuild my new/used ICS M16 - Whole nine yards. Needs new piston head, tappet plate, motor, shimmed, R-hopped, some wiring.
I'm planning on trying my hand at my first couple R-hop jobs this summer. I guess a significant amount of ASM lurking also kinda counts towards my 'summer projects' list. Nothing spectacular and world-changing coming out of my projects, but spending some time completely re-building a gun and learning the ins-and-outs of internal work and upgrades should be a good investment of time. Contemplating the merits of posting a 'project journal' in the 'projects' section on the ICS, but since it's not (Currently) intended to be anything too special, I may just save the space. Although opening a thread charting what I've done where experienced techs could point out things I did wrong or missed completely might not be a bad idea...

M249 beast
-Torque for FPS, all steel and aluminum parts for durability, lipo battery and strong motor for ROF
-Tuning for next few months for FULDA preparation
M93R
-Revert back to high FPS setup for outdoor
SCAR
-Sell, or tune for FULDA as backup
And finally, pick up some people's guns for work and upgrades

@Keith, please post your project it will be cool to see and comment on for us tech nerds. Also before you rhop I have a new way I am doing it that is much easier. I will post today.
@Ngob, why not use 16:1 gears and a JG blue motor with a 7.4 4000 mah battery?battery link 7.4 4000mah 30C
This will get you good performance and about 20-25 rps give or take.

I got a 7.4, 20C 4400 mah Lipo coming in Monday. The Guarder steel torque gears were already installed. I'm going to penny pinch and save myself from buying another gearset. I'm just hoping the torque ratio doesn't lower my ROF too much. Otherwise I'll have to hold the trigger down longer to empty my box mag on one target. =D

Thanks, Sean! I'll take pictures and post a bit of progress when I can this weekend. Maybe as soon as tonight/tomorrow evening.
And now I'm tempted to sell a few more things and try and buy a CA SAW for $180... Not sure I'm a support gunner type, but could be worth it for the "AWWWW YEEAAAAHH" factor of VTAC showing up in full Support-Weapon'd glory. NGOB is making that dream slightly closer to reality. lol.
