2/25/2012 Easy Company Fight for Life Charity Game
They posted this up on VAF last week and it's sort of down towards Blacksburg. I'm looking to go. Anyone else interested?
Their post is as follows:
Game FEBRUARY: 25th, 2012. At RED 6 in FOREST, VA right outside Lynchburg.
FIGHT FOR LIFE series is all about fighting for those who can't fight. By you participating in this event %100 of all our profits goes to the YES WATER: Project. Yes Water is a local non-profit that EASY COMPANY AIRSOFT has the pleasure of being able to partner with.
We take water for granted in America, something as simple as clean drinking water is a big issue across the globe. The same amount of water we use to flush the toilet is the same amount of water 10 million+ people in Africa and Asia use in a day. Your small contribution will help buy water pumps to provide clean drinking water for people across the Globe.
We'll be playing at RED 6's training facility. They Have a small MOUT facility and some wooded area to play at. Keep in mind close quarters FPS limits and bring gear accordingly, side-arms, grenades, etc. Expect High speed games, possible capture the flag, Force on Force, Defend Attack type scenarios.
Address:
6100 Thomas Jefferson Rd
Forest, VA
Doors Open at 9:00am. We will try and start by 10 am.
We will break for Lunch/a Snack around 1pm for 30min. (We sugest bringing something with you to eat, lunch will be limited due to time constraints. There is a Sheets down the Road if you dont bring anything)
We need to be off the field by 3:00pm
For those of you local its about 10min from Liberty University.
COST is $10 at the door.
Items On sale:
Survival Para-Cord Bracelets will be on sale for $5.
Survival Para-Cord Key Chain $5
Survival Para-Cord Gun Sling: $30
All Donations Accepted
This EASY COMPANY AIROFT game will adhere to the VA.org rule set that can be found on the forums or in the description on the event page on Facebook.
We will have a chronograph at the field to check FPS limits and waivers must be signed. If you are under 18 years of age you must have a parent or legal guardian sign your wavier for you or you will not be able to participate. All kids under 16 years or younger are encourage to wear Full facemasks but are not required to. If you are a parent and are letting you child play understand the risk you are putting on them as there will be older veteran players there with very close shooting distances.
(Easy Company Airsoft Reserves the right to modify rules at any time prior to the op in accordance with specific games/game types. Its the responsibility of the player to make sure they understand the rules and follow them. If a rule is not clarified at the Op or is not understood be smart, use your head, and ask.)

this does sound really fun, plus it is for a good cause. I do want to attend this, but transportation is still an issue for me.

Looks like there's a car's worth of us going to this atm. Looks like weather should be fine in both Blacksburg and Forest but if you had any curiosity in this know that there will be at least 4 of us there...unless something changes.

I know someone was asking about FPS earlier (can't remember who), but according to the event's Facebook page <350FPS is allowed and 350-400FPS is allowed with semi-only. Anything over 400 is disallowed in the CQC areas (and therefore useless.)

I may have plans Sat, but they may fall through. If so, I'd like to attend as well. Since I'm in Roanoke I won't be a part of the carpool.
Who all is going as the final count?

Yeah...we're gonna have a fun time fitting 5 in the 4Runner. Possible? Yes. Legal? Also yes. Comfortable? Questionable...

Kyle's Post Game Report:
Awesome time, cool field, good people. Downtime was at the utmost minimum; we got a ton of games in in not very much time. If this group hosts a game again I can completely recommend going.
