Looking for a new pair of boots
Right now I'm looking to add a second pair of desert combat boots to my collection of footwear. I am a Cadet and we were issued a pair, but they're SWAT Original (Whoever the hell that is) and I'm already on my 3rd pair after 1 year of medium/light use (The first two both ripped at the seam). My plan is to get a good pair of boots and then use my issued pair as my "dress" pair. My new pair will be for any marches we do, training exercises, as well as airsoft. I was curious if you all had suggestions.
My current problem is that there is only one store anywhere near me that sells boots and all they carry are McRae combat boots. I like the look of them and they've gotten a few decent reviews but I can't find much on them online. I'm conflicted between buying a pair of McRae's from this surplus store or trying to order online. Do you all have any recommendations, either in what boots to buy or where to order online that has a good return policy if they don't fit?
Requirements:
Tan
Suede

I was told Bates before, I've heard great things about them. I might just look into getting a pair online then. There's no where in Blacksburg that sell them, is there?

I'm strongly considering this pair of Bates: http://www.amazon.com/Bates-GX-8-Comp-Toe-Side/dp/B00814U138/ref=cm_cr_pr_product_top

I don't know if GORE-TEX liners are still a thing nowadays, but I still prefer it when I get high top boots. They perform well in moist and semi-wet environments (like foul weather). However they are a pain in the ass for wet work, leather top bands only work until the pants that are tucked into them get soaked through, which in turn soak your socks. At that point I prefer my Coral Shoes.

5.11s
I went with 5.11s, they fit nice and run like tennis shoes and are combat ready unlike the Nike and a few others which are only allowed for Garrison use. The boots they issue you are basically some fabric to cover your feet with bricks at the bottom, you really cant find a worse pair. 5.11 has three kinds now, I don't have the recon yet and the other they stupidly discontinued which were lightweight and waterproof (Which does apply if your in northern Afg. or in Blacksburg where it snows. Im currently trying to get my hands on those babies. The ones i have are ATAC if I am not mistaken and they no joke look like power ranger boots and I get that often but are so comfortable.
