New Goggles
I currently have a pair of ESS goggles I got at my local surplus store for $5. They always fog up though. I tore out the foam for more airflow, tried the anti-fog wipes and use a mesh facemask but always the fog. Do you all have any suggestions? New goggles? A Fan?

Fans help tremendously. Talk to Sean about the smith optics ones.

Re: New Goggles
So far I've found two new ones I like.

and

Anyone used them? I know Itsahak recommended the Pyramex ones.

If you fog up regular ESS then these will fog like crazy for you. Small area, no airflow. The only solution that has worked for me is Fan goggles, my favorite being the smiths as Drew said.

Is this what you're talking about? Is it worth the price?

Re: New Goggles
For me they are my favorite eyewear and most comfortable. The foam is the nicest I have seen, really cushy. The wiring system is robust. The fan has two speeds and both are very quiet, though if I only need a little help I keep it on low, then sometimes switch to high as needed. The peripheral view is great and they don't interfere with cheekweld. Highly recommended.

Re: New Goggles
How would they compare to just getting a fan for my current goggles because $100 is a lot for goggles. But at the same time no fogging would be so nice. I just wish they were low profile. However since the Pyramex goggles are quite cheap and low profile, I might just get both sets of goggles. I can switch out as needed and them have a full pair as well as a pair of low profile goggles.

That's... Awesome. How did you do that? Just glue the fans onto the brim? Where is the powersource?

Re: New Goggles
Not mine. I found it online on another forum. All he did was take two small computer fans, sand them down to be rounded off. Cut holes in the hat bill to correspond with the fans. He glued the wires down and ran them behind the edge flap, placing his battery box on the rear. I believe it ran off of a 2a or 3a battery...
Re: New Goggles
oh dear...just found another project to add to the list
It would only minimally help with fogging, but it would really help when running shades
EDIT: actually this should help when running hoods/ghillies as well...
